Culross castle's cabinets beat expected price at auction

Two cabinets from Dunimarle Castle in Culross more than trebled their expected price when they went under the hammer in Perth.

The two cabinets, from Gillows of Lancaster were expected to sell for around £1,500, but eventually went to a buyer from England for £7,300.

The items were amongst 10 items from the house up for sale at Lindsay Burns Auctioneers, which sold for a total of more than £10,000.

Obviously an old photo as the flag now fits in with the other flags in the village. Tattered and torn!
